3 Ways to Replace Missing Teeth

Three ways to replace a missing tooth: Which one is right for you?

Many people at some point in their lives have a missing tooth. It might be from an accident or a sports injury. Sometimes, a tooth breaks apart or has to be removed because it has too much decay.

Thankfully, with today’s advanced dentistry, there’s no need to panic. We can replace missing teeth through a variety of methods – often without any surgery. At Forest Ridge Dental Group, we help restore smiles every day.

Bridges offer a wonderful, quick solution.

Many of our patients who need to replace a tooth choose to have a bridge made. Bridges can last for years to come and don’t require any surgery. They’re often covered by insurance, too.
A dental bridge fits over the gap where you’re missing a tooth. It attaches to your existing teeth on either side of the gap. At our Cameron Park dental office, we use porcelain teeth that match and blend in to give you a natural-looking smile.

Many patients choose dental implants.

Dental implants have become the top choice for patients who need to replace teeth. Many of our patients prefer them because they look and function just like your own teeth.
Implants work similarly to your tooth roots. There are three parts – the implant that bonds with your natural bone, a connector that sits on the top of the implant to hold your crown and the custom-made crown that matches your natural teeth.
Dental implants can be used to replace one tooth or several teeth. They can also support removable dentures.

Removable partials: a cost-friendly option.

For some of our patients, a removable partial is going to be the best way to replace missing teeth. At Forest Ridge Dental Group, we work with a local dental lab to make all of our partials.

Typically, it takes a couple of visits to make a partial.

Partials are a good option for patients who know they may lose more teeth. Additional teeth can be added to partials if needed.

At Forest Ridge Dental Group, we can help you decide which option is best for you. Give us a call to schedule your appointment today: (530) 676-9999.
